A delicious burger crafted with care. The combo may seem odd, and the outside is definitely unassuming, but the chef does both burgers and sushi very well. He’s super nice, and you can tell that he cares a lot. Perhaps a bit expensive for what it is, however, it’s a delightful little hole in the wall.
This place is a GEM! Not a bad thing on the menu. The Doda burgers are amazing, the fried rice (with burger patty) was so good, and the fish gets flown in fresh from Japan for their sushi. The owner is so nice and welcoming! The is place rocks
Such a great burger!! Meat, veggies, cheese and sauce were all perfect. The owner also gave us some complimentary plantain jellies from Honduras. Came back with friends recently and tried some of the sushi and doda style onion rings and wow wow wow so impressed with everything we had. This is such a great spot all around!!
Friendly welcome from the staff as I walked in. Ordered at a kiosk which was easy. Staff brought the food out when it was ready. I had the Doda Burger, onion rings and a negihama roll (yellowtail and scallions). I’m always a sucker for those rolls and this one was delicious. The fish tasted very fresh and succulent and the combination with the scallions was lovely. The burger was delicious. I especially enjoyed the fresh cucumber/ pickle slices. It’s a messy, juicy Wagyu burger cooked nicely medium and I devoured it. Somehow made it through the meal with the two napkins they provided but I easily could have used 8 napkins. It was a struggle not to lick my fingers lol! It’s a darn good burger. The onion rings were piping hot and they brought two aiolis for me to dip them in as well as ketchup. Super lightly fried - they were outstanding. All in all a delicious late lunch albeit it was $50+ ( the roll was $19.99). I enjoyed it though - everything was high quality and if you just went for burgers and fries and/ or onion rings it would be in the ballpark as most burger joints. The staff checked on me multiple times and gave me a complimentary dark chocolate which capped off the meal nicely. Not too big inside but they did also have a front deck with plenty of outdoor seating.
Fresh burgers with a unique flavor. I’ve never had a burger like this and it is one of the best in Dallas. All the ingredients are fresh, the food is well made, and I think tons of effort goes into making the food. I got the doda burger and made it a double, fries, and noodles. This was enough food for two people but I was very hungry. The sauces are delicious, I did not feel the need to use ketchup at all. Just overall a wonderful experience, I will be returning. I would say come with an open mind to new flavors if you’re only used to eating classic American cheeseburgers.
Don't let this unusual combination scare you away! This cute little spot offers a unique and elevated flavor experience. High quality and fresh made in-house ingredients; this is fusion food is truly made with love and has tons of flavor. I tried the doda burger and the dragon roll; will def be back to try noodles, dumplings and tempura onion rings 😋 Chef is passionate about his craft and was extremely warm and hospitable. Run, don't walk!
I arrived around 7pm (they are open til 10) and it was totally empty inside. All of the seating areas were clean and super tidy. Upon entering I received a warm welcome as I approached the self service kiosk. All menu items included a photo and detailed description (including the bottled beverages!) which was appreciated. With several waygu burger options, I went with the house burger and added their famous onion rings. My food was ready and delivered to my table quickly on a neatly organized tray. My first bite was an onion ring while at peak temperature - these did not disappoint! The light tempura coating was perfectly seasoned and did not need anything else but since I was given two small containers of dip (teriyaki and chili ponzu) I tried both. While equally delicious, I found myself going back to the chili ponzu more often. The burger was perfectly proportioned and the house made bun was amazing. Courtesy and hospitality was off the charts!
How does such a small place have 5 stars? I thought it was fake reviews but wow! I kept it simple with a long favorite, shrimp tempura. The proportions were perfect, every bite felt like I was getting a decent bit of shrimp. The onion rings, nice and crunchy. The battering was amazing. Not to mention the customer service was superb, they checked on me several times (not overbearingly so) and picked up that I wanted to eat in after I put my order for takeout. Just extremely nice people! And I got some complimentary watermelon slices, an amazing addition to a hot Texas summer. Yes there’s barely any parking but it’s so so worth it. Will definitely be back!!
