My dad would take us here when I was a kid. 30 years later, the store is exactly the same (in the best way). They're smaller than some of the giant Asian markets in the area, but their prices are often a little better, plus they carry some things the other stores don't have. I think it's still owned by the sane family too. Don't miss the homemade food. The fresh banh da lon is delicious.
Love Dong A Market they have good selection of Indonesian crackers - Rotary tapioca crackers, Sena shrimp balls. Also Indonesian teas (Teh Botol and Tong Tji tra bags) and sweet sauces (ABC) and Runel sambal variety.
Great place to get egg roll/lumpia ingredients and they have a unique selection on drinks (I get my Hawaiian Sun canned drinks only at this location) and teas. Owners are friendly and helpful.
Onsite clean parking! Outstanding variety of Asian foods and cooking supplies treats and drinks and frozen foods. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gave us a discount for buying. Will be back when we are in Orlando.
Maybe one of the last of an ever-dwindling breed. Love this little family-owned Asian market. Not only do they have things that the other markets have, but also unique things like fresh homemade made rice noodles, pea eggplants, fresh bamboo, etc. It's a quiet, unique, pleasantly cramped, one-off family-owned place. They don't have a huge produce section, but what they do have is always top quality, often unique, and decidedly Asian. Several times I've looked in other markets for a unique item, couldn't find it,, but did find it here. And it's truly a Pan Asian store: Chinese, Korean, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc. The owner always seems to be helpful and knowledgeable. Always mindful to support these places so they stick around. Anyways, it's a gem of a place and I'm glad it's here.
The reviews were spot on: there really are a lot of Indonesian products sold here. You'll be able to find your bumbu Bamboe, Marjan syrups, Blue Band, kerupuks, terasi (powdered), kecap manis, sambal ABC, kacang Atom, mie goreng, and even your teh Tong Tji. Probably more too (didn't have enough time to check out everything). The older lady at the register (owner?) was nice, she gave us a box of Teh Kotak for free.
Just awesome! There is a huge selection of my favourite Asian VEGAN products! Their frozen section is awesome. Lots of choices of vegan meats, tofu, vegan snacks, and Asian produce. Many of the products are from Taiwan but I'm sure you could get the majority of your Asian needs here :) Staff is so friendly and helpful too!
The Super Friendly lady (owner?) up front is always super helpful and did I mention helpful and friendly? So is her husband. If you ask where something is they will go and hunt it down quickly for you, sometimes even when there's a line at the checkout. I've been back here at least 5 times since I discovered the place, and while you could go to an Asian market that's bigger or closer to colonial, you're only gonna get that old school mom n' pop feel here. The dishes you see in my pics were all made with ingredients from Dong-A.
