We were passing through Delray Beach yesterday and stopped by Donnie's Place at random for breakfast. Wow, we were happy we did! Covid precautions made us unable to dine in, but it was worth the 20-minute wait for the take-out meals. I ordered the sauteed shrimp, my wife the salmon cakes, and we both got grits. It was so good! The shrimp were tender and sweet, and the sauce they came in really tasty. The salmon cakes were awesome as well, and the grits amazing. We'll definitely go back next time we're in town.
This is the beat Soul Food restaurant in Palm Beach County. The Mac and cheese and Fried Fish reminded me of sweet ol’ Georgia. Truly was an experience and great music selection while you eat. Wish there were more stars!!!
*** Amazing Soul Food & Great Customer Service *** Donnie's has some of the best soul food in Palm Beach County. Their breakfast always taste great. The pancakes and grits are worth the wait. The staff is always kind and friendly. Sometimes they get a little busy and there's a bit of a wait, but again it's worth it. The menu is reasonably priced and affordable. Chicken wings here are superb! Highly recommended. 5 stars!
