Quick service and good food. Even a good spot for picky eaters
Cheap and delicious, with a convenient location near the bus station, so if you're waiting for a bus and you're hungry, this is a great place to come eat, I recommend it
Good Mexican food place at a low price, friendly service.

I went to lunch at Doris Snacks, a little mexican restaurant located at 104 S. 16th St, tucked away caddy corner, from the back of the main bus stop downtown. It used to be on Buemont st. and is listed on Google as such, but it has moved. I have been there several times before, usually with my wife( she loves their enchiladas). I was craving their Chicharron de Pescado again!! So, I went there to get my fried fish fix hooked up. I go because I really like the the way their fish is prepared, I like the crispy coating, never greasy, and always fried to a perfect golden color. Doris Snacks has been consistently good every time I go. I wish I could say that about every place I eat at, but unfortunately I cannot. This means alot to an old chef like me, especially when there are big time chain restaurants that cannot get it right everytime you go. Also, one more thing, they use jasmine rice in their spanish rice recipe and it shows, it is really good. So, I give Doris Snacks a major thumbs up for food and service.
I love this place,I was my first time going hede, but I love the waiter that recommend me the empalmes, omg those are so good.😍
Awesome tortas here. I visit everytime I'm on McAllen. Doris is always a delight. She is very hospitable.
It’s a great small place to eat nachos, gorditas, entomatadas, y limonadas.
