I have been meaning to try this spot out since they have so many good reviews. I ordered the loaded baked potato with brisket and wow it is so good!! They give you generous portions, the price is fair, and the people working there were very friendly. Even though my initial experience was good when I wrote this review the negative part was the food made me really sick and I kept having to run to the bathroom at least 5 times after I ate this baked potato with brisket. After how sick it made me I won’t be going back again. I really wanted to like this place but I can’t risk getting sick like that again their food really upset my stomach.
The ribs were hard and didn’t have as much meat and the sides were small for a $20 plate. I think for $20 they could be a little more generous with the portions. The chopped beef sandwich was decent.
This is the 2nd time I’ve gotten GOOD BBQ in TEXAS. While everything was good, it was only 2nd best to the other phenomenal bbq I’ve had here, so I couldn’t give it 5 stars but this food is really good. I got the 3 meat plate w/double brisket, rib tips, potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad isn’t like I typically like it but I still liked it. Also, the bbq sauce had a little kick to it. I feel the portion size was generous as well. I shared with my 10 yr old and we had plenty left over, enough for one of us to have another meal today. Overall, I would definitely order again! I ordered via DoorDash so I’m not sure how the actual restaurant is, my review is solely for the food.
