The food at Dumpling Man is very good. We had two types of dumpling. A classic version comprised of pork, chive, and shrimp (#3) and a less common version with zucchini, egg, wood ear mushroom, and shrimp (#1). I probably should have taken the photo before eating half of them but we were hungry. Both were very tasty with the pork one feeling a little more substantial while the other a little lighter. Both had very fresh tasting and feeling ingredients. The dumpling dough was thin and uniform and cooked just right. They come by the dozen and it should fill you up. The hot sauce, black vinegar, soy sauce and garlic paste is to the left of the counter so you can make it to your taste in the handy built in serving cup on the tray. I gave the four stars for atmosphere since it is a food court setting but it was clean. I highly recommend a visit and you can shop at Great Wall afterwards.
The dumplings were fresh and flavorful with a nice chewy wrapper and juicy filling. The portions were generous and everything tasted very homemade. Definitely a great new spot if you’re craving authentic dumplings.
The fresh pork wontons (鲜肉馄饨) were absolutely delicious. The filling tasted very fresh and flavorful, and the broth was clean and comforting. Great portion for the price, too. One of the best spots inside the Great Wall Market food court. Definitely worth it.
