2 years agoBretty good. The server was very helpful helping me to figure out what sides I wanted. The greens are a little tangy but not too serious. I liked it. The yams were good also. They love to season so expect full flavor.

3 years ago$28 for a HALF of a Turkey wing & dressing dinner with Greens, Mac & cheese, Xtra size of greens. This Jr size plate made me HOT! I will NEVA go back, even though the food is good & the people are nice. I can't spend $30 for HALF OF A TURKEY WING & A SMEAR OF DRESSING. The pictures with the WHOLE TURKEY WING was from Delicious on Crenshaw & it was MORE FOOD for less money & tasted Incredibly GOOD. ((Waving 👋🏾 bye-bye DUTC))

4 years agoGolden Bird was the first job that I held as a teenager and I was very proud at the way we dealt with the customers, plus the pride with the preparation of the food was outstanding. I see that has all gone down hill. The other day I visited the Gardena location and asked for a 2 piece. Ince I drove off and began to eat my food, the first thing that I noticed, is that it tasted old. I dont just mean old from sitting up all day, bit old from it being in the freezer for too long. I was very disappointed to say the least and will not be returning

Edited 7 months agoEverything is Absolutely delicious! Don't like the cornbread muffin.....but then again ......they probably make it to where anyone can eat it(heartburn,high bloodpressure, diabetic..etc) so add some pepper and salt to taste. U can tell the food is made with ❤ and consideration of others that may have health issues. Because it's not salty or over peppered. The website is not accurate about the days of operation because this place is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays and they open at 11 Monday through Friday I believe and I I think they close at 7 Wednesday through Friday. I am unaware of their Saturday and Sunday hours of operation. The number that comes up on Google is the accurate number if they answer you're in luck you can place your order over the phone and pick it up. If it goes straight into a voicemail they're most likely not open or it could be extremely busy .This place is also tied to an organization and you can look up their information on the website under dare you to care. There you will find information on the founder of the restaurant and her connection to the organization. And by the way I usually order the two pieces of chicken with either macaroni and cheese and yams or macaroni and cheese with rice and gravy. Don't forget salt and pepper to taste this food is not made just for one group of people this food is made for everyone so it's not salty and it's not too spicy. Or if you are person that just enjoys the natural flavors of food you got a winner.

5 years agoIt Was Good, Variety of Choices On Menu. I PERSONALLY HAD THE Spare Ribs With Rice&Gravy & Two Sides Macaroni & Mashed Potatoes. (The Macaroni Was Wayyyyy To Cheesy For My Liking) BUT I ENJOYED & WILL BE BACC PLUS THEY TAKE HOT MEAL (EBT)

6 years agoI've been on the search for good Fried Chicken. My junior high friends told me about this place and I loved it because they cook the chicken when you get there. It's a really nice place and I will be returning. They were really friendly also.
