First time having Bahamian food. Absolutely LOVED it. The plate was about $25. The batter in the shrimp and conch was seasoned really well but not too much to overpower the flavor of the seafood. Our plate came with rice and beans and we chose potato salad and Mac n cheese. All of it was good but the potato salad--SO GOOD. It was fresh, not too spicy to dominate the other flavors but had enough of a kick. It was so good we took a side of it for home. The cashier was also super nice and friendly. If I ever come back to Florida I'll make sure to return here
My siblings and I stopped in during a quick road trip. We are Bahamian natives deeply embedded in the food service industry both stateside and in the Bahamas. That said I am aware can be a bit overly critical of places, but Glen's Bahamian Kitchen hit the mark with customer service and food quality. It was a beautiful meal. The sous was seasoned to perfection with a warm fresh slice of Johnny cake that made my heart warm. A small piece of home made my day for sure.
The Sheep tongue sous and stew conch was EXCEPTIONAL. And the Johnny Cake was FRESH and delicious. Thank you for the authentic experience.
