See All ReviewsThe best Chinese food is Up North. This place is top tier, to be in Virginia. Come to find out they are from Pennsylvania, its reflected in the food.
Food was not good and i didn’t get my money worth.
I've ordered 3 times from here. I wanted to post the best unbiased review that I could give, and did not want to base it off of one visit. So here goes..... 1st order I got were the garlic wings with fried rice. The wings were fried perfect and the garlic sauce was delicious. They were whole wings, not too big, but I only got four. The fried rice was a waste for an additional $4. The rice was hard, over cooked, and dried out. I'd rather had gotten two more wings for the price. Total $15 with tip. I won't be ordering that again even though the wings were very good. My 2nd order was the chicken and broccoli with white rice. The white rice was just as hard as the fried rice, dried out, and overcooked. The chicken was overcooked as well, stringy, gummy, and hard to chew. I was hoping that maybe it was only a few pieces, but it ended up being the entire tray of chicken. Horrible........$15 wasted. I decided to give them one more try, mostly because of the convenience. I'm at NNSY and the office places an order here every Thurs. Eddy's delivers to the gate without a hitch which is extremely convenient given there are not many places within walking distance of NNSY for food. My third order was the lunch special General Tso's chicken. I ordered mine with white rice and a can soda. The food looked and smelled wonderful when I opened the container, however, my first piece of chicken told the story of the entire meal. The chicken was hard, crunchy, stringy, tough, and generally inedible! It was a struggle to stick the plastic fork (they gave me) in it. I've never had general chicken with the life fried out of it. The ONLY way to try and save it was to drown it in sauce in hopes that the sauce would tenderize the meat. That didn't happen. The rice.......well I've never had any success with any rice that I've ordered there and today was no different. I ended up throwing out my entire lunch for fear it would hurt my stomach if I tried to eat it. Another $15 wasted! To spend $45 total on 3 separate meals was a complete waste of money. When I was presented with the opportunity to order food from here, I wondered why the office picked this place. I'm from Ports.......CM, and I've driven by Eddy's all of my life. I can't remember ever ordering food from here, and don't really know anyone else that does/has. No one in my family has ever talked about this place, and I'm beginning to understand why. My last time ordering from Eddy's is today. I tried 3 different times with 3 different menu items, giving them the best opportunity to impress. Unfortunately the only item I liked was the garlic chicken, and for the amout of money spent each time.......no thanks.
