I stopped in to Palos, where I grew up, and looked for El Gallo. El Gallo was closed so I checked out this place and loved it. Their steak taco was one of the best that I’ve had in a long time
Food is OK, but every time i go there, i get more disappointed with the quality of service, I don't mind the expensive prices but don't get petty with the food servings and drinks !!
Really not worth stopping in for. The food is average and has no flavor, and definitely not authentic Mexican food. The red enchiladas is had were ok, but bland, no flavorinng, and lacked anything homemade. The rice was cooked good, but again No Flavorinng, no onions, carrots, or anything that a traditional Mexican rice should have. I thought the portion size was ok, for rice, beans, and small lettuce salad, with 3 small enchiladas with red sauce. The service is slow, kitchen speed seems OK. The location has free parking. I probably wouldn't waste my time or money returning back, just not worth a second trip for average bland food, so not really recommend, and the menu is pricey, and not worth the cost.
