See All ReviewsI have three main concerns that have led me to a 1 star review. 1) Poor Service 2) Significant health concern 3) Flavorless food 1) Poor Service Upon sitting at our table I witnessed a waitress coming in from the restaurant next door licking her fingers and grabbing chop sticks and bringing them to a customers table. Very unsanitary. 2) Significant health concern While my pregnant wife was drinking her water after being refilled a few times I noticed a large shard of glass within the cup. When I notified the waitress she merely stated that “the person before her walked out and she didn’t know what she was doing.” She took the cup and offered to comp the meal but no further action was taken. I feel as though the manager should have came out and it should been a bigger deal than it was. 3) Flavorless Food Before the issue with the cup, the ramen I ate was not very good and was cold. It was bland and seemed overpriced for the quality of food. Overall just a poor experience I highly recommend NEVER COMING TO THIS PLACE.
After reading all the mixed reviews here are my two cents. The “Verde” ramen was delicious. The flavor was on point to be honest. No complaints about the service, weather, or size of the venue. I understand people’s complaints about the size but it’s literally the name of the establishment “El Cuartito,” the literal meaning “small room.” I do recommend not to go during peak busy hours because there won’t be a place to sit down, that’s the only drawback. However, if you go during the right time everything should be great. I was seated, order taken, and food served. My experience was great and I’ll be back to try the “Colorado” since the Verde was pretty darn good especially because it had grilled chicken and cabbage.
Not a very friendly staff, but the ramen wasn't bad. Different take for sure, but I was satisfied. The menu is simple, there are only 5 or 6 options and they only serve one beer. The name literally translates to small room and it is a small place, but I liked that aspect of it. There is an outside patio as well, but it was too chilly today for that. The bar next door, Malolam, prepares the food. Overall the food was great, but the service was lacking. Our server seemed very disinterested in her job this evening. I won't hold it against them. I'll go back.
