Ordered menudo to go, didn't even get limes or onion. Was given day old dry loaf bread where its crumbles on its own and tostadas. The menudo was ok, could've been better with the missing ingredients and bolillo. Why tostadas?
If you don't eat spicy. Ask if dish has Chile in it.
Food came out sizzling on a griddle! They also have strawberry horchata which I’ve never had before. It was good! Salsa was too spicy and they didn’t have a milder option.
El Girasol Mexican Kitchen is a true hidden gem in the Northeast. The food is incredibly flavorful—everything tastes fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. You can tell a lot of pride goes into each dish. On top of that, the customer service is outstanding. The owner is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. It’s the kind of place you’re excited to tell people about but almost want to keep to yourself. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with great vibes and even better service, El Girasol is a must!
I got a carry out for four people and their enchiladas were left overs from a few days..reheated and served. The green chile enchiladas was too hot. The meat in the caldo de Res was too hard; it was either overcook or wasn't cooked long enough! I will never buy any from there again!
First time here and we really enjoyed the chicharrón and picadillo flour gorditas
A true family restaurant, the three of us ordered menudo and it was beyond delicious, not to mention the atmosphere and our waitress was very attentive, prices very attractive We’re definitely going back
Vegetarian burrito had different ingredients of what menu showed. Instead of spinach, beans & rice, the ingredients in the burrito was potatoes, calabaza, carrots, & cabbage, no beans, no rice. Burrito of rajas con queso was ok.
