See All ReviewsI’m not going to claim to be a Mexican food expert or expert on authenticity, but I lived in Cali for about 10yrs, been to Mexico my fair share of times and I have to say this place is a hidden gem in or near Clearwater. After leaving Cali for Florida I have been searching so good/decen, non watered down or white washed Mexican and this is the best so far. I absolutely despise when businesses decide to cater and change their menus to appease the populace. Don’t get me wrong I understand why, but still. This place is legit fire. Nothing fancy here, in fact the place looks like it couldn’t pass a health code, and those are the places I love. Got the birria, fire. Got asada burrito, fire. Decided to order some desert, pastor and asada tacos last minute and they were fire. Don’t be intimidated or turned away by how it looks in and out, or the lack of gringos, or lack of English, or lack of decor. Probably making this my go to Mexican spot. Just have to figure out how to ask em to make me Carne asada fries, el nacho, no chip, no frijo, fries instead por favor?
Authentic and FRESH! Great service and definitely a hidden gem! Will be back! Ordered street tacos with refried beans and rice. Perfection. I was a little on the fence since the restaurant is in a market but it was the best Mexican food I had in a while.
When I first saw the sign I did not think that the food was going to be as good as it was. The food was amazing and if you visit clearwater you should visit this place 10/10.
