I was disappointed to find out that the branding of a "taqueria" was a bait and switch. There's nothing different about this location other than the size. There isn't even a dedicated taco menu or section. For a while, we only had one menu for 5 people. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. We passed the menu around until the waiter came by so we could ask for more menus. The table ordered drinks. I asked to order food, but my food order wasn't taken at that time. We had to continue waiting to place food orders because our waiter was also responsible for mixing the drinks. The initial cocktails our table received were not good. One person never received the drink she ordered. The waiter kind of refused to take the drinks back after one person expressed that she didn't like hers. Ultimately, we went and set the drinks down at the bar while the manager was there. He made a margarita pitcher in exchange, which was enjoyed. The service was pretty bad. Our waiter didn't stop by much after taking our orders. We sat with menus, empty cups and two nearly empty chip trays. We found it odd that our waiter didn't stop by the table to see if we needed refills, nor did he seem to realize how long we had been waiting for the food. After waiting a considerable amount of time, someone in our party got up from the table to check on the food. We were told the kitchen didn't see our ticket, but we suspect our order was never put in. We were even offered the option to leave at that point. We decided to stay and the food was brought out within about 10 minutes. One of the orders was made wrong, which resulted in an additional wait. Once received, the food was fresh and tasted pretty good. We did speak with the manager, who simply apologized. The waiters could benefit from some training. Not much was done to the interior besides closing in the kitchen area. There wasn't an atmosphere. No music, or decor. Just a couple TVs and lights around the bar, which was also sparse considering the robust drink menu.
My experience here has always been excellent. The food is well made, the place is organized and clean, and the staff is great. I’ve seen a few reviews claiming this place is a scam, which is completely untrue. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone.
Dined in. Had the Grilled Stesk Burrito. Husband had the Frajita steak Burrito. Loved their hot chips and salsa. The Cheese Queso was delicious. Service was fast and attentive. Had enough leftovers for another meal. Great quality and price!
