Caldo de res and menudo are fresh and delicious. It almost felt like you were at your grandma's kitchen being her favorite grandchild. Food is cooked with love.
We stopped there to get some brunch. I got chilaquiles which were decent, my son got a quesadilla we asked for chicken fajita but got ground beef insetead which my son didnt mind he ate it.my daughter and husband got pozole i also tasted it and it was horrific, it had no hominy at all it had thick broth I believe it was carne with Chile or something like that tasted bad would not recommend. Another thing was the waitress horrible attitude like she didnt want to be there and she never checked if we needed something, overall pretty bad experience.
Such wonderful, home-made, authentic food! I ordered the cheese enchilades with the gravy and sides of rice and refried beans. The enchilades were so cheesy; the rice was the incredibly delicious and the refried beans were just as incredible. I wasn't even hungry when I ate here but finished every bite due to the tasty quality. Then I ordered sopapillas for desert and they were also so good! There are plenty of places to sit and have a conversation while enjoying your meal. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Rating: 4.5 stars I stopped by this Mexican restaurant around 3:00 PM, after the lunch rush, and was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent—kind, respectful, and very fast. The food had great flavor, the salsa was fantastic, and the restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. My only issues were that the chips were a bit stale and not warm, and my enchilada plate was on the cooler side—the cheese inside wasn’t fully melted. Still, everything tasted great overall, and I would definitely come back. Just a little more attention to temperature and freshness, and it’d be a perfect 5 stars.
What a quaint little place for lunch, and authentic Mexican all the way. Our serving of beef quesadillas was so abundant that it was easily shareable. The sweet lady who was our server impressed us, and we had a very relaxing lunch. Definitely recommendable.
I went today with my family and the service was subpar. It wasn’t too friendly of an environment and when we got there the server told us it’s a Mexican restaurant as if we didn’t know. I got the carne desherbada en salsa verde but that wasn’t very good. It had a strange taste and the meat wasn’t shredded all the way. I felt like they just threw the meat on the plate and poured sauce over it. My sister got the chicken quesadillas and I would say that was the only okay meal. You can’t really mess quesadillas up. Our server wasn’t too attentive and she only came once to check on us. The aguas frescas were the premade ones from the machine so the horchata was okay. I would not recommend that you dine at this establishment if you want something worthwhile. I spent $73 and it was not worth the service or nasty food we got.
It was decent timing, but the food wasn't fresh. Potatoes looked like they were from days ago. Salsa wasn't Mexican,😔. The employees didn't serve well, with that silent attitude. It was overall wack. The bathroom was stinky😰.
First time here ….Good Tex max restaurant …rice needed more flavor but it was cooked well. The salsa definitely made my nose run & chips were fresh. Once I received my food the waitresses never came to check on me (there was a sign on the door that said the restaurant was understaffed) Overall it was a good experience but didn’t live up to the hype per the previous reviews but I’d probably return for a Tex mex fix
