4 months agoSmall restaurant with big flavor. Got the Yuka appetizer and it came with two sauces that went well together. The K-Rod was so good, beef flavorful and the sauces!

6 months agoA real neighborhood gem. I stopped in during the Sunday lunch rush and enjoyed a Venezuelan coffee and a juice snd a postre while waiting for my order. If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry, they will be patient with you, and if you're lucky like me, one of the owners (a father-son team) will sit to have a chat. The friendly service really brightened my day. I ordered a few arepas to go for "mi jevo" (learned this from the Venezuelan vocab words on the wall) and enjoyed my coffee and pineapple cake as I waited. We loved the Reina arepa in particular. We put the green sauce on everything. Can't wait to try more of the menu. What great neighbors! See you again soon.

7 months agoSo amazing!! My mother & I got some empanadas, definitely didn’t disappoint. Perfect size for the price and it was STUFFED.

a year agoYou can sit at any open table, service was very quick! Food came out fast as well, they have a lot of options on their menu. Music was nice to listen to while waiting for the food. There is a small parking lot on the side of the restaurant.

a year agoSo delicious! I've been to several Venezuelan restaurants before in my hometown of Miami, and was really delighted to find food this delicious in Detroit. The patacones were so crispy, and the shredded beef was tender and well salted. Indoor seating, nice service.

a year agoSo glad I found an arepas place here in detroit. Food was great, location and atmosphere was unassuming. The arepas and the pastelitos were delicious. That shredded beef is tasty and I really liked rhe cheese they used on both dishes. I found it a tad pricey, but will be back to try the plates and the fresh juices.

2 years agoI had my first taste of Venezuelan food here. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the waiters were very friendly and helpful. I spoke Spanish the entire time and they were very attentive and understood me well. I highly recommend anything on the menu.

2 years agoFantastic authentic Venezuelan food. You will love it! I lived in Venezuela for a time and this is great cuisine. The building is old and a bit run down, and it could be cleaner though. Overall, I still would go back.
