See All ReviewsWe stopped in on 7/13 at 130. The outside was a little confusing but what a pleasant surprise once we got inside. I’m so glad my husband and I stopped! I wish I would have caught the servers name! I only know that she is from Harbor Beach she was one of the sweetest servers that I have ever had! I hope the owner knows her value 💜
Full disclosure. I have been here a few times and had a few different items. None were very good and all of my experiences were pretty lackluster. I repeated because of the lack of places to eat in pigeon. Tastes like everything is out of a can and is lacking seasoning. This time I got a burrito and a chicken taco. Both tasted cold and just weren’t very good. Only Mexican restaurant I’ve visited where chips and salsa are not brought to your table. Instead you can pay $5 and get canned salsa. My service this last time was very slow. It took 30 minutes to get my food while on my lunch break. This was my last trip to El Rio. My advice would be to go to Taco Bell, the food is actually better there.
If I could rate with no stars I would. I really think the owner should revaluate his menu. One of the worst Mexican restaurants in my book. Staff was great; the cook had no Idea how to even prepare a meal. Portion sizes are pitiful. Charge for chips and salsa, also a nice dark hair from the cook in my food. Wearing a hoodie over your head does not protect hair from going in food. Nice tip for the cook. Will not be returning.
