My family and I love to go on mini adventures and try places we've never been to before while going out. This weekend we tried El Sazon Potosino. We absolutely loved it and give it a 8.5/10. I want to clarify that the food was a 10/10 but overall the experience as not. Cleanliness is something that is important to us when we dine in and unfortunately despite there being numerous employees. Nearly every empty table was dirty. The floor under the tables looked like they hadn't been swept in days as well. We sat on the table that was the least dirty and carried on. I didn't get the name of our server, but he was excellent. He was quick and efficient and super friendly which is one of the things that influences us to come back. The menu selection in my opinion is great. There is something for everyone which I loved as some of our family members are very picky. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I want to note that the quality of the food was amazing. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious. The salsa was not really spicy. It was loaded with flavor. I will note that the serving size is very small and no refills were given. We went as a family of 4 and the serving size is for 2 people. We all decided to try the horchata and it was perfect. It wasn't too sweet and it was the perfect blend of spices. I tried the flautas, my husband tried the trompo combo, my father tried the carne asada and my mom the camarones a la plancha. My mom did not want the rice with her combo and requested extra fries instead and they accommodated that without hesitation. The carne asada was a little tough but it was delicious. This place has the best Mexican rice I've tried in a long time. Typically Mexican rice lacks a lot of flavor in numerous restaurants however here, that was not the case! It was so good! So were the refried beans. We will be trying again :) we want to try more of their menu and want to add this to our rotation. I will update this review with more photos and suggestions on our next visit!
I found Pozole!!! And it is good!! Huge peices of meat, the soup is perfect, and they give you the chips, lettuce, lime, onions toppings on the side and a little cup of crushed red peppers to add spice how you like it. I am so happy I found it!
We went there because my Dad was craving for caldo de res, I gave them a call and they said they had caldo de res there. So my dad had that, my mom had enmoladas and I had the best Mexican Burger and I loved my papas fritas, olus they have churros filled with cajeta. Loved them! 😍
