a month agoBurritos were huge, service was kind, diner had vibes. Mango habanero hot sauce was super tasty. Backstreet Boys house remix on the stereo was hilarious. I'd definitely dine here again!

3 months agoWorld class Mexican with over the top flavors that really pop … this is big city cuisine in the heart of the mother lode. Service was also fun, warm, and inviting. We felt like regulars one day 1.

4 months agoAbsolutely amazing experience at Escondite De La Torre! The food was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. What really made the visit stand out was the outstanding customer service, Lupe took great care of me from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. You can tell they truly care about their guests here. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone.

5 months agoSmall restaurant with amazing food! The Mexican burrito 🌯 with chorizo is incredible—heavy and perfect for a yummy breakfast, potentially both lunch too. The egg & sausage sandwich was amazing. The chorizo is made in-house. The guy who served us was super nice and friendly. The green salsa tastes like a spicy guacamole—amazing! The coffee was sweet

This hidden gem blends bold flavors with a festive, down-to-earth vibe—perfect for those who love discovering new places through their plates. The enchiladas were a standout: crispy golden tortillas wrapped around savory fillings, then layered with shredded cabbage, crema, green salsa, crumbled cheese, and fresh tomato slices. A halved avocado and sprig of cilantro crowned the dish like a chef’s signature flourish—rich, crunchy, creamy, and bright in every bite. And then came the trio of strawberry margaritas. Served in oversized goblets with sugar-coated rims, each one was a frozen burst of berry bliss—sweet, tart, and icy enough to make you pause and savor. They weren’t just drinks; they were part of the experience, like edible postcards from a joyful detour. The quesadilla brought comfort and depth: toasted to a golden crisp, filled with seasoned meat (chorizo) and melted cheese. 🧀 very flavorful within a reasonable price.

2 years agoPeculiar menu combinations, as others have noted, but we eat here often. It has many vegetarian options. The food is basic but house-made, and the couple who seem to run the place are hard-working and friendly. Where else can you get a cocktail or glass of wine for $4??? It's quirky, but we like it.
