got the lamb chop dinner… littlest lamb chops i’ve EVER seen in my life, broccoli has no seasoning, rice over cooked, NEVER worth $40!
Went for happy hour. Ordered catfish nuggets and fries & a soul roll. Food was great. Service was wonderful.
So, this has potential but missed the mark on so many different areas. let's start with the Soul Rolls. They seem like they would have been awesome, but there's something spicy that's on/in them that overpowers them to the point you can't taste anything else. Next, the Mac and Cheese. It was creamy, but that's about it. There's no seasonings, the noodles were hard, and there's a sweet component to it that just doesn't work and doesn't give that soul comfort food taste you're looking for. And lastly, the Whole wings 6 piece served w/fries. I absolutely appreciated the fresh cut fries and not some crinkle cut bag trash. although there wasn't much seasoning, they were decent. the wings however, were hard and unseasoned and lacked breading to hold any seasoning or sauce. They were bland flash fried and needed some love. All in all, the potential is there but needs some seasoning because the soul is missing from this soul food.
