The smoked meatloaf is my new favorite, but honestly you can’t go wrong with anything at Fat Jimmy’s. Always great food and great flavor!
I came in from Des Moines for work and ate dinner here. This family run establishment is absolutely amazing! I ate the meat trio. The brisket is super thick and fall apart tender. The sliced turkey was moist, thick & delicious. The burnt ends were awesome. The cheesy hash brown casserole is to die for & the Mac & cheese is creamy & yummy! The service is 5 stars & the owner even gave me a rice crispy treat when I left (also amazing) Driving in from my hotel in Keokuk, the view of the river was spectacular! I will be back in the spring, because I can't wait to visit when I can sit outside and listen to live music there. Thank you so much to your family for the hospitality! I will tell everyone I know to visit this gem!! Oh, I almost forgot, the habanero bbq sauce shouid be bottled & sold!!
Food was so good!! Brisket just fell apart and melted in your mouth. Mac and cheese was delicious, the cheesy cabbage was delicious, mashed potatoes, green beans, burnt ends, sweet heat pulled pork, all of it was so good!! Comfort food to the extreme! The habanero BBQ sauce was my favorite. Highly recommend for great barbecue.
