I am a huge Mexican food fan and street tacos are one of my favorite things in the world, so I am always on the hunt for good ones and I have to say, the street tacos there were the best I have had in a very long time! Even down to the details like the limes being juicy, the meat was tender and not overcooked plus I could tell the onions were freshly cut up and the salsa was even warmed up, which was an amazing touch! A small hole in the wall type place that I will be back to anytime I'm in town!!

My son and I were driving 66 out to Greenville...just tooling around and saw Fiesta's on the side of the road. I noted it on my Google Maps to hit it up next time we go out for dinner. Roadside diners in TX are: 1. Underappreciated 2. Overlooked in favor of easy/cheap/McDonalds 3. 100x better than that fast food. 2 days later, grabbed my wife and son...made the 20-minute drive from Fate & found our new, go-to for TxMx. Here's why.... We knew we'd get there around 7:30p & they close at 8p. Dropping into a restaurant before closing is usually the hardest time on the staff because they all want to get going. It's also when you'd expect the food to be at the end of the day and not as fresh or "just prepared" even from a few hours earlier. Not the case with either of these. We poked our head into the kitchen because no one was out front in the dining area. We saw the owner doing some cleanup/organizing in the back & we asked if it was too late. With a smile, she said it was totally fine & there was no issue at all with us coming in 30 mins prior to close. All of the staff was super friendly and made sure we had the best service...even though it was closing time. We ordered fajitas and street tacos. The food came out hot, fresh and sizzling. Rice and beans were great. All homemade. The salsa is made fresh every day and you can tell. Portions and pricing were spot on. It's very economical for the amount and quality. That's why I feel a place like this would be underappreciated at times because they are small, unassuming and ready to serve you good food when you stop in and are courteous to them. The problem is that you have to stop. We did feel bad about rolling in late to order dinner, but we were not disappointed by the food, service and experience. As we were leaving, they did invite us back & we made sure to let them know we certainly would be our new favorite spot. You can't beat home cooked TxMx. Think about it the next time you go out. Would you like to have a $13 Whataburger combo meal or $15 for a plate of sizzling steak fajitas, well seasoned with rice, beans and all the sides. Fiesta's will win that 9 out of 10 times. I read some of the random reviews about poor food quality and service. At these small restaurants, they expect to be treated with kindness. If you roll in there expecting high-end dining, you need to adjust your expectations. If something is wrong, then let them know. They will listen and fix it for you. Most of the time, people order..something is wrong & then they love to rush to the computer to complain. If you don't talk about the issue, how do you expect someone to know it wasn't good for you. Most of us did not do well in Mind Reading 101 at school. Be an adult and communicate with your mouths, not your posts. If you are driving 66 out in East DFW, you should stop in and try Fiesta's. They will make you feel appreciated.

Yesterday the Food was salty but if I added enough extras it evened out. But was highly disappointed with my fajitas, they tasted as charred as they look. Became very inedible. I did let my server know and he would let somebody know, but nothing ever came of it so we left.
