4 months agoIt was a little cramped and chaotic, but the food maked up for the size of the dining area. We ordered the pepper jack balls, garlic cheese curds, breaded mushrooms. My favorite was the garlic cheese curds. Then we ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich w/ fries cheese burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms, and a double cheese burger w/ waffle fries. Cans of soda or refills of sweet tea, lemonade, or water. Curbside parking.

Edited a year agoMy 1st experience left me wanting more and since then I love eating here because it's affordable, simple, their waitresses are professional and very attentive, very unique old fashion nostalgic decor, and their food is so damn good I would recommend anything really and remember always end your meal with their pies!

2 years agoWe had the most delicious breakfast here on Monday. On Thursday we returned to eat here as we liked it so much. As we walked up at 10:24am, a couple was walking out to their car. A small group was sitting at a table on the front porch when one of the women sitting there said , “We don’t open until 11:00.” Their website says open from 7:00-2:00. Hmmmm…

2 years agoVery Cozy I hope you like swedish pancakes and lingonbeeries!! The filling station will not disappoint. Food is delicious perfect for a stop on the afternoon drive with your sweetie!! Enjoy!!

3 years agoWe chose Filling Station for breakfast after our wedding. It was marvelous!! There were 10 of us. Table was ready. Another table of ladies all gave a round of applause. Owner greeted us. I love the quaint surroundings & decor. Much like our lifestyle. Felt very homey. Loved it!!

10 years agoThey always have delicious pies for dessert and the burgers are also great. every time I go back home I try to get lunch here. Great place to eat in a great little town and the ladies that run this joint are a class act. This is definitely a place to stop in to if you are a tourist visiting Bishop Hill or a local just looking for a nice lunch!!
