Great fish food truck. Tried just this season and I understand why all the great reviews. They open the Friday after Adh Wednesday and close October to November. Don't miss out on Catfish, Cod, Buffalo or even Shrimp!
Sometimes I am a good Catholic boy and remember to eat fish on Friday during Lent. Today was one of those days and Fish Haven made me glad that I did. I am shocked that I am giving a fish stand 5 Stars, but it was seriously that good. I ordered the Catfish Nuggets Dinner. It came with Hush Puppies and for my two sides, I chose Fries and Cole Slaw. The dinner also came with, a choice of bread (white, wheat or rye), sliced white onion and dill pickle chips. Fish Haven is a small blue trailer in a parking lot for Riverside Saloon. It's only open on Fridays and everything is done to order. While I waited for my order, I saw a sign saying you could buy their breading and that it was available in stores. Once I tasted it, I could see why you'd want to buy it. My nuggets had a nice crisp coating and the seasoning in the breading was full of flavor. The Hush Puppies had chopped jalapeños, which made them the best Hush Puppies I have ever had. The fries were seasoned and still had the skins on and that's a plus for me. My Cole Slaw was creamy and runny, but the had decent flavor. Other sides offered were, potato salad and baked beans. It's a trailer, so you order at a window and wait outside for your order to be complete. If you want to eat there, they do have two picnic tables to sit and eat. They make paying easy by accepting cash and card. The staff I dealt with was friendly This may be my go to for Friday fish all the way through Lent. Plus, I'm getting me some of their breading to use at home. I bet it will be great of pork chops.
Love it , ! I try an come every Friday it’s that good , I get the buffalo The sides are great coleslaw and potatoe salad is like smack your mamma good ! Hush puppies taste homemade , definitely worth the trip
