Food is great. But the customer service is horrible. “Mary” is so bad. Texting while trying to take my order. I’m asking questions about sides and still texting. Touching her hair while handling orders. Like be for real. Just had a mean face and doesn’t look like she wants to be there. Bruuu get her out of here. Riverlakes location is so much better.
I had a door dash delivered to my worksite from here, around 11:30am. This was my first mistake I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl. To my surprise it was ALL BURN CHICKEN. Really F&S, not only was it all burnt hard and old. Is this how you treat your delivery customers? Don’t ever order from here until after 2pm to make sure your chicken is eatable. I can’t even return it cuz I’m at work. Shame on you for passing this off as chicken. If I wanted burnt end I would have ordered BBQ. Make it right and stop serving this crap to people who are not present when ordering. Maybe I can take it home and have my dog use the chicken as a chew toy. I can’t even post the picture. Order placed 2/13/26 at 11am.
I haven't been to Flame & Skewers in a long time. I had it about a month and a half ago, and then I got it for dinner tonight. I ordered the falafel plate, with hummus, tzatziki, grilled veggies, & a small side of cucumber. I like falafel, and I have enjoyed it from this location before. But, now the food (at least at this location/24th & L in Bakersfield, Ca) has gone way down. It doesn't taste the same anymore. It doesn't taste good anymore. The falafel is very dry. Also on the menu it list grilled veggies as a side option; but the grilled veggies are just onion & tomato, had the menu stated that, I wouldn't have gotten grilled veggies at all. Not only was the food not good, the employee at the counter was either having a bad day, or was just being rude. I said thank you and have a nice evening. But she seemed irritated that there were customers ordering food.l, almost as if it were an inconvenience to her. The only positive thing I can say is, the price is good considering the amount of food served, I may at a later time try a different location, and see if it is the same or better. I can say I will not be back to the 1201 24th St Bakersfield, CA 93301 location again.
