Flaming Wok Express has a great concept and the express menu is honestly where they shine — good food, fair prices, and quick service. My only real complaint is that they switch to a dinner menu in the evenings, and it's a completely different experience. The prices jump significantly and the value just isn't there compared to what they offer earlier in the day. I'd love to see them keep the express menu available all day. That's what keeps people coming back, and it's what sets them apart. Hopefully they reconsider, because the dinner menu is what's holding them back from being a go-to spot.
I’ve been in San Antonio 18 years and finally I found the best Chinese restaurant in San Antonio. The food is fresh and flavorful and the atmosphere is one of the best. I will definitely be telling everyone I know about Flaming Wok🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wasn’t greeted well when visiting this location for dine-in and they didn’t stir any of the food before serving it. Therefore my food was room temp. The orange chicken and chow mein were extremely bland and lacked flavor. The black pepper steak was delicious. Pricing is a bit high for lack of quality. I have gone a few times to see if it was just a one time experience but each visit had similar results. I would love to make this student friendly location a regular spot if it had some minor changes to their food and customer service. Customers should feel welcomed and happy to be at your establishment. Front of house workers that interact with the customer first should be a bit more lively. Thank you!
