instantly became one of my favorite places in Portland to get food. I will be recommending to everyone I know! yummy drinks, delish food, and the servers were wonderful :)
Update: because I love Flores so much!! Try the empanada con frijoles y chocolate! I was talking to them a few weeks ago about Rellenitos (plantains with chocolate and beans specifically refried style mixed together inside) a Guatemalan dessert that is delicious and tonight I went in and they had empanadas with frijoles and chocolate! It was amazing and so nice to see that they had added as an option. If you haven’t tried this little sweet treat, it’s so good, trust me!!! ♥️♥️ The food here is always incredible! It’s definitely worth a try if you haven’t been to Flores, or haven’t tried this location. Both locations have amazing food, the other further down on Congress has a much bigger dining room if you’re out with a larger group. At this location, the staff are always so kind and friendly. I love ordering one puerco pupusa, a carne pupusa, plátanos con crema. A go to order for sure. The yucca fritos con carne is also spectacular! Their flavors are also outstanding and so well balanced. Eating here has definitely because a comfort experience for sure. I think everything on their menu is probably delicious!!
We got the nachos, chicken tamales, plantains, and pupusas. The tamales and plantains were great (4/5), but the nachos tasted like they had been washed with laundry detergent and the flavor profile aside from that was nothing special (1/5). They also forgot to add the pupusas to our takeout bag, which we didn’t realize until we had already commuted home, so we were charged an extra $9 for nothing. The waiter/cashier took note of the pupusas and it’s on the receipt and order tag on the takeout bag, but somewhere along the service line it was taken out or forgotten.
Best pupusas and burrito I've ever had. Everything was perfectly seasoned. Never would have expected to find authentic Salvadorian food here, but so glad it exists.
Absolutely horrible experience. I ordered a burrito and a plate from this restaurant, and I paid extra for chicken to be added to my plate. When I got home (after driving an hour), I realized the chicken was missing. I went back to the restaurant—another hour drive—to ask for either a refund or for them to remake the plate correctly. The woman that owns the restaurant refused to do either. Instead of taking accountability, she got angry at me for not returning the food “right away,” even though I explained I had to drive an hour each way. To make things worse, she called the police on me and had me trespassed from the property—just for calmly asking for what I paid for. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service, no accountability, and they clearly don’t care about their customers.
Such a lovely experience and pick me up after a crazy day. My hats off to the chefs and workers here. The service is impeccable, the food flavorful, and quick service as well. This is a hidden gem I'm so happy is near to the hospital nearby. Would definitely recommend the steak burrito and fried plantain, as well as the flores drink. One of the best burritos I've had! And that's coming from a New York native and recent Boston transplant.
I highly recommend this place. The food is excellent, you can tell they put love into it, and the prices are really good. I got a chicken and pork pupusa. They were very flavorful, and with the flavor of the salad and sauce that comes with it, it was out of this world.
Found this little spot and it was AWESOME! The breakfast bread thing was delicious ( warm and soft with a little sweet). The pupusa was out of this world. Hot with lots of cheese. My rice and bean with grilled chicken was great and the salad had this dressing that was very good. Fernando at the counter was friendly and helpful while the service was fast . You could easily miss this gem (see pic of outside) but it is worth the find😎
