2 months agoIm fortunate to have a spot like Foon’s in walking distance. The food is consistently of high quality, and the staff is welcoming. My favorite dish is shrimp with green beans.

2 months agoEverything tasted bland and not fresh. It all seemed like frozen food that was heated up, even the eggrolls. Threw it all away after sampling it. I found nothing worth eating!

8 months agoThis place has truly went down hill since about 2020 when i first had them. Back then they were friendly and the food was great. As of today i wouldn’t recommend to anyone and i won’t be returning. Everything was different and cheaply made just nasty honestly. I ordered 2 SEPERATE egg foo young which were flavorless and nasty honestly. They give us ONE large container of rice as if we did not order two separate orders. Reasoning was so THEY can reduce costs. My question was what if the food is going 2 different places? Like who does this? You NEVER have to ask any Chinese place to separate your order that was it’s on separate order anyway. Lumpia used to be great now it’s big greasy and a bit pink inside. Chicken wings were small cut up wings which I’ve also NEVER seen at any Chinese place nor did they use to serve them this way. The also smelled like cheap breading as opposed to their known Chinese chicken smell. I asked for FRIED rice and got pork in it although i did not ask for pork fried rice. Please avoid this place! I believe they are under different management but it’s greatly disappointing.

a year agoI love eating here. The egg rolls???? Immensely huge and very filling. The staff is always friendly and they deliver for free locally if you’re close enough too. I love the food, very awesome place to get a good quick and honestly good meal.

4 years agoCame to eat here on my way to work. To my surprise, mom and pops were in the back kitchen making the original food. So I had a great treat here! Full of flavor, amazing service by their son. And had a good conversation with him as well. If I lived here, this will be my spot for Chinese food!!!!!

4 years agoWe used to love Foon’s, especially their pan fried dumplings. But over the past twenty years the quality of their food has declined significantly. Our last 4 orders have been incredibly disappointing. Each time containing burnt dumplings. Tonight’s order draws the line. We ordered our usual 3 orders of dumplings and everyone of them was Burnt black, so bad that they stink. Please see picture.

6 years agoNothing in VA beach can beat them. I grew up on Chinese food & this is exactly like mom's home cooking. The food is so fresh & yummy. Packed with meat & flavor. I will drive out of my way for their food. Worth the wait, they get busy. The whole family is so nice & really hard working. They have never disappointed us, they never have an "off chef" day where 1 day didn't taste "like last time." Seems to be better with every bite.
