Online order, so order ahead. I ordered when I got there and it took 15-20 minutes. I went next door and got a wine flight, so there is stuff to do while you wait. The cod was good. Well cooked and lots of crisp on the one side. The fish tasted fresh. Chips (fries) were good but nothing to rave about. The peas were just regular peas and I was surprised they weren't mushy. They were good and nice to see a vegetable in an otherwise fried dish.
Located now on E St Elmo in between Congress and Terry O Lane in a spot that has had several other food trucks in the past (next to Spokesman coffee). Great fish n chips! Impossible to beat for a food truck and ready in 7 minutes on a Friday afternoon ordering right from the window. Top 3 Fish n Chips overall in ATX along with Cafe Blue and Vista Brewing. Take it to go and walk over and eat in at Ants Beer Cave in St Elmo district.
By far the best fish and chips I've had. Great piece of fish, well seasoned, crispy batter, and a lovely presentation with the "newsprint" in the box. I think the beef tallow fry makes a delicious difference. Gonna have to go back and try the spicebag next!!
