Excellent chicken and lamb rice combo. Very flavorful, and the hot sauce was actually spicy! A good meat-to-rice ratio. We were politely greeted as soon as we came in, and the meat was tender and delicious. A well-priced establishment compared with the surrounding area. Would come back.
Super lamb over rice, very very spicy and I loved it. The rice tasted more like a biryani from a UK Indian restaurant. We stayed nearby so the shop was very convenient and it is open 24 hours. In fact at first I didn't notice they did "over rice" type takeouts as the menu were mostly deli-type items like bagels, subs, omelettes, pizza etc. $3 for extra meat in the lamb over rice.... And it was a lot of extra meat so highly recommended.
My girlfriend and I just got off Amtrak for our first visit to NYC, we were looking for a non touristy place to grab a coffee and bagel. I had an everything bagel with vegie cream cheese and she had a everything bagel egg and avocado sandwich. The coffee was fresh and the bagels were great. She said it was probably the best bagel egg sandwich that she had ever had. This place is just a block from Penn Station and a great first stop if your hungry arriving in NYC!
