See All ReviewsI’ve lived in PSL my entire life and this is the best Mexican restaurant we have ever had. The food was so good that we went there for dinner last night and will be ordering for lunch today so my brother can try it out. The prices are so good too, they could charge more and I would pay. 5 stars! and amazing service too
Excellent food, drinks and service. Ive been here several times and have never had a bad meal, drink or experience. I recommend Frida's to friends and family without hesitation. The food portions more than satisfy and is priced accordingly. The place is always spotless and well decorated. I live this restaurant.
On Saturday, January 17, I visited this restaurant to eat. From the very beginning, I clearly informed the staff that I am allergic to seafood. I ordered a steak burrito, yet I still suffered a severe allergic reaction that nearly sent me to the hospital. Due to the seriousness of the reaction, I had to miss work and spend several days recovering. As soon as I recovered, on January 23, I called the restaurant to report what happened, not to ask for credit, money, or any type of compensation, but to prevent this from happening to another customer, as reactions like this can be fatal. I asked to speak with the manager, but the person who took my call, Sammy, refused to transfer me, stating that he was a partner/owner and could handle the situation. When I explained what happened, he immediately denied the incident and claimed, with complete certainty, that he was present when my order was taken and when the allergy was supposedly communicated to the kitchen. What is most concerning is that he never asked what time I was there, never verified any details, yet still claimed to know exactly what happened. I informed him that his version could not be accurate because I was not served by a male waiter, but by a female server, and he was not present at my table. It was clear that he made up a story to dismiss the situation, later saying he could not continue the conversation because the restaurant was busy. Despite this, he took my information. I provided my name and phone number, and he said he would call me that same night or the following day. More than a week has passed, and I never received a call. This behavior shows a total lack of professionalism, little concern for customer safety, and a clear effort to avoid the issue rather than take responsibility. I have photo evidence showing how severe this reaction was on my skin. This was only my second visit to this restaurant, and I will make sure others are aware and exercise caution, as this appears to be a clear case of cross-contamination, which can have deadly consequences.
