See All ReviewsStop by with my parents for lunch. The place was empty. Mom asked for hígado en cebolla do, my dad tacos de fajita ( no onions) n I got the asado de puerco (red sauce). About 5 minutes later a customer walked in and 5 minutes after him a 2nd customer came in. Both of them got there food before we did. When we got our food my dad's tacos had extra onions, n my mom's hígado was burned, not edible (most of it was just rock hard) When we pointed out to the waitress she said she would talk to the cook. We still got charged for it. So $55 later the food was not great, service was ok ( the 2 waitress were too busy talking about plans for the night, instead of checking up on the customers). Now I know why it was empty when we got to the restaurant. Horrible experience!!!
"The restaurant's ambiance, definitely gives off a café vibe, with its Mexican and French-style frames and subtle decor. Upon entering, we were greeted with a simple "Good morning, and welcome." I find that to be a sign of good manners and respect for customers. However, despite there being only one other table occupied by two women, it took a little while for a waitress to approach us with menus and take our drink order. Finally, after more than five minutes, a waitress came to take our drink order and provide menus. A further five minutes or so passed before we gave our food order, and she didn't return to offer coffee refills or check if we needed anything. She finally came back after our food was ready, which, to their credit, arrived in less than 15 minutes. After that, however, our waitress and the other servers seemed more preoccupied with a personal side conversation, and she didn't check on us until nearly ten minutes after we had finished eating. While she was nice and respectful, the customer service was not great. The food was good, with no complaints there, but the lack of attentive service definitely detracted from the experience. Although it wasn't a horrible experience, I can't say I truly enjoyed it or found it particularly pleasant. I wouldn't necessarily attribute the servers' behavior to the ownership or their training. Employees can have excellent training but still lack the necessary skills or attitude in practice. For that reason, I would be willing to give this restaurant a second chance. However, if my second experience were the same or worse, I would not return and certainly would not recommend this establishment to friends or family.
Not many people during lunch hour. Food took a while to be served. Service not to attentive. Refried beans looked old. Does not stand up to its name. Will say chips and salsa were good and the soup was good.
