I only bought one box of rice cake with honey and sesame seed inside. Not only did my food have a hair inside of the unopened package, but the rice cake itself tasted extremely fishy and awful. It should not taste that way and it must be rotten or spoiled.
The H Mart in Elkins Park PA is unique in that there are numerous other small businesses in the building. One of them is Ga Yeon Rice Cake! There are many many varieties of rice cake treats. The square has easy parking; though can get a bit busy on the weekend. I would say coming before noon is often a more pleasant experience. The shop takes credit card, the food the beautifully packaged and the price clearly labeled. I wouldn't say the customer service is super friendly but honestly I'm there for fresh products, not small talk. 🤷🏻♀️ So it doesn't bother me.
Discovered this place from a fellow foodie! If you come when they first open everything is still very very fresh and super soft and chewy. Never had any issues with them. The Ggul-tteok & yakbap is literally my favorite!
