See All ReviewsTried this place years ago, its was awesome! I had a bad experience and said I’d never go back. Today ( 4/20/26) had a take for a baked potato! Awful!! I specifically said I saw them on tic toc! I don’t want chewing beef!! I’ll be darn! It’s chewing, can’t even enjoy the potato for spitting out chewing, hard meat! The meat is not a lot(meat, potato ratio), it’s more sauce. I got ribs( 2 meat), u only get 2 small ribs!! I give up! No more for me!!
I recently visited Gator Pit BBQ, and while the BBQ itself tasted good, the overall experience was disappointing. I paid $54.72 for two “2-meat” baked potatoes, which is already pretty expensive, so I expected everything to be correct. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the extra sauce I asked for, and it didn’t seem like either potato actually had two meats as ordered. For that price, not getting what you paid for is unacceptable. Good flavor isn’t enough when the order isn’t accurate—especially at that cost. I hope they can improve their attention to detail and make sure customers get exactly what they’re paying for.
My child had a game on the area so I stopped here for what I thought would be good bbq. Oh was I so wrong. This was a big mistake and a bigger waste of money. I ordered a one meat plate with chopped beef, baked beans and potato salad. First problem is that I've never gone to any bbq spot in Texas where a one meat plate is not just that. I received a chop beef sandwich plate. I took it back and told them that I received the wrong thing. They told me all one meat plates they put on a bun. I'm like wth if I wanted a sandwich that's what I would've ordered. They offered to take it off the bun. I'm like I could do that. Nothing had flavor. The meat was bland. The beans straight out the can. The potato salad was flavorless. I guess it's one of those places where all the flavor comes from the bbq sauce. On top of that this plate was $21.00. I'm beyond upset. I frequent bbq places weekly in my area like Winners and Phat Gyrlz and it cost less with decent portions and is very flavorful. I don't know how this place is in business with this substandard bbq they're serving. It's not even bbq. It's just meat they cooked and call it bbq. To have wasted my money on this garbage is ridiculous 😡
