We visited the restaurant on a Saturday night and it wasn’t crowded, which is why we decided to go in. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, and the venue in general. The food was very good and excellently seasoned, but the service was horrible. Our first order was a round of beers; I requested a chilled glass for mine, but it never arrived. Later, the next beer was literally warm. I asked another waiter for a glass and she brought it quickly, but it didn't help improve the taste of the warm beer. For the first course, we ordered two soups; they brought one out first and the other much later, instead of waiting to serve both simultaneously. The main courses arrived fairly quickly and were delicious. It is a shame that the service was not up to par with the food. While the service left much to be desired, the flavors were the true stars of the evening. I hope the front-of-house can eventually match the excellence of the kitchen. I’m looking forward to returning once they’ve ironed out the service kinks!
the sushi is super fresh, but let's be real—that matcha taro milk tea stole the show.smooth aromatic, and perfectly balanced.10/10 will order again..
The best orange chicken I’ve ever tasted. The best part of this visit all the way from TEXAS was our server Candy! Absolutely a Gem! She made the experience even better. Will definitely come back and visit again
We had an amazing experience at Ginga Sushi. Our server Dulce Maria was very attentive (and funny). She even went out of her way to notice that the AC was making us cold and turned it off just for us. Beyond that, the food was great! We had seaweed salad, the chili pepper roll, spicy tuna rolls, shrimp tempura rolls, tuna nigiri, and finished it off with a brownie dessert. Next time I’m back in Puerto Rico, I’ll be back to order it all again. Thanks for a great experience!
High Quality ingredients, very fresh!! The Service from Dulce Marie was outstanding!! Started with the Calimari which was cooked to absolute perfection (always a good test to see what to expect fom the other diahes as its not the easiest to prepare properly) Sashimi Tuna and Salmon. 3 piece portion was far from skimpy like you normally see.
Great presentation with generous portions. The chicken was served hot, tender, and full of flavor, paired nicely with fresh vegetables. The fried rice was well seasoned and balanced the dish perfectly. Overall, a simple but tasty meal that’s easy to enjoy.
First time at this place and if not the best, probably one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in my life. The food was amazing, the drinks were out of this world, and the service and attention by our server, Tanisha, and the entire staff (the entire staff on duty constantly checked up on us) was the best I’ve ever experienced. Everyone truly went out of their way to make sure nothing went sideways during our dinner. We were celebrating my companion’s birthday (we mentioned it to the staff) and without asking they gave a us a complimentary fried cheesecake dessert with a candle to sing happy birthday. We had old fashioned Japanese whiskey mixed with miso soup as drinks, they were mind blowing. Pricing was reasonable and the quality of the food was top tier. The skirt stake was perfectly seasoned and cooked, came out juicy and tender. The sushi (Himalaya roll) was heavenly. Highly recommend this place if you’re in San Juan and want the total package of service, atmosphere, food quality. Will definitely come back!!!!
We had a great time at Ginga. Sofía, our waitress was so kind and helpful. She definitely deserves a raise. The food was really good but we found the portions small for both the appetizers and the main dish. We ordered the Japanese Wagyu and it was super tasty but cut super thin so it was hard to really enjoy it.
