See All ReviewsWoman in hotel reception is very welcoming and smiley the decor at hotel reception looks lovely but we went to the gathering bar for a drink next door and walked into a silent room,no music playing ,no atmosphere. You have to pay if you want any music on the jukebox which is disappointing. Not a very welcoming bar man. Both cask ales were off. Served our drinks in plastic cups ?? It's a shame , it could be a very good bar but it just isn't. Good darts board though 👍
Ion took great care of us with check-in and dinner. He seemed to be the only one working beside the chef. Aside of staying a night and dinner, we also had breakfast at the inn. Our group was happy with everything (food, drinks, and lodging).
So on a recent visit to Glencoe we popped in here for some food. Fish supper was poor. The fish was a nice piece and was a decent size. The crunch on the batter was good the taste was good but here is where the dreadfullness took over and spoiled this... 1) the fish and chips looked nothing like the pics presented in a wee basket. 2) the oil needs cleaned and left lots of little black pieces of previous servings all over the fish as a result 3) the place genuinely wasn't that clean the tables all needed a good wipe down we were starving and needed fed and with little choice we had to eat 4) the worst bit -the chips weren't cut on the premises they were frozen chips. Maybe this all works on bus tours and visitors from abroad but was a total joke hence why most were left and only fish eaten!
