8 years agoI really hope they cleaned this place up. The last time my family ate there, a roach crawled up the wall next to our booth. We haven't eaten there since.

8 years agoAbsolutely a horrible place to eat. Service was very unfriendly. Our server acted like it was an inconvenience to her to get us 1 refill. And the food was disgusting.

9 years agoWasn't bad for a small town Chinese buffet. Might be better if we hit it right at lunch or dinner time next time. I'd go back.

9 years agoVERY CHEAP PEOPLE, NO GOOD WILL AT ALL. NO APPRECION FOR LOYAL CUSTOMERS. MY FAMILY AND I EAT THERE FREQUENTLY, OFTEN OUR BILL IS OVER $60 FOR ALL OF US AND WE ALWAYS LEAVE A GOOD TIP, EVEN WHEN WE TAKE OUR FOOD TO GO. I HAVE A DOG RESCUE. OFTEN THE DOGS ARE SICKLY AND I HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THEM TO EAT SOMETIMES. IF I HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO POUR OVER THEIR FOOD IT WILL ENTICE THEM TO EAT. WITH THAT IN MIND, TONIGHT, ON THE BUFFET TABLE I NOTICED THIS PAN THAT USUALLY HAS THE SAMON IN IT WAS EMPTY OF THE SAMON WITH ONLY THE GREASE AND BROTH LEFT AND SOME OF THE BLACK SKIN/SCALES FROM THE FISH. I ASKED THE WORKER THERE ABOUT IT AND SHE TOLD ME THEY WERE JUST GOING TO THROW IT OUT. I ASKED HER IF I COULD GET SOME OF THE BROTH AND THE SKIN TO TAKE WITH ME. I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR OUR MEALS. THE LADY CHARGED ME $2 FOR IT, AND THEN SHE WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO PUT IT IN THE CONTAINER, SHE SCOOPED UP ALL THE GREASE, AVOIDING THE GOOD BROTH ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE PAN AFTER I ASKED HER TO AVOID THE GREASE. WHEN I ASKED IF I COULD HAVE THE SLIMY SKIN THAT THEY WERE GOING TO THROW OUT SHE TOLD ME, "I'M GOING TO EAT THAT".... YEA, RIGHT I THOUGHT BUT DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING! THEN WHEN IT CAME TO RINGING UP THE COST OF THIS SHE HAD ME ADD $2 MORE ON THE TICKET IN THE "TIP SECTION" WHERE I HAD JUST PAID FOR OUR FOOD AND LEFT THEM A GENEROUS TIP ON IT. LAST TIME I EAT THERE.

9 years agoMy mother and I had the buffet for lunch while in the area. It was wonderful! There was nothing we tried from the bar that was bad. Best Chinese buffet we have had in years!

9 years agoI travel about an hour from Tallahassee to Crawfordville about once a month to enjoy the buffet here, absolutely one of the best China Buffets I have ever eaten at as far as food quality!!!! I grew up in Chicago area and have ate in Chinatown many times as well as the town I lived in had many quality china restaurants (I have even ate in the oldest Chinese restaurant in the United States) and the food here is just as good if not better than all of them. I have one friend from Kentucky that insists we go here every time he comes to town (I never argue), the staff is friendly, accommodating, and always quick to replenish the buffet, I have ate meals there at all different times of the day and the food always looks fresh. PS: Its always been clean and the kitchen looks clean when I have seen it through the doors, I think the complaints below are from previous ownership.

12 years agoThis place has been under new MNG for about 2 years or more. My family and I order take-out. The Chicken in garlic sauce is awesome! They always give us little bonuses when we order. Extra beef sticks, or sugar doughnuts. They also give us made to order rice as well. Not everyone in our house likes pork, so they make us vegetable or plain rice with our food! Great place and they're open everyday. Mingtree is so overpriced and the portions are small. Check this place out. Order take-out, you won't be disappointment.

12 years agoJust ate here with my friends, we came in 10 minutes before closing...buffet looked cleaned out and we were not optimistic. Long story short, I just wish they had one in my town. Have eaten many "Grand Buffet" type establishments and this is far better than any I have been to. Not only were they not angry about the late showing, they gave us 30% off! Cooked food fresh for us (my friend who is a master chef claimed they had the best frog legs he had ever tasted and when they brought us a ridiculously large HOT FRESH plate, I agree), service was outstanding, and for three people who cleaned them out at 10PM...only $25!!! If you come into town around dinner time I would recommend this restaurant hands down.
