We recently dined at Granny's Kitchen in Woodville, where our group of four enjoyed distinctly satisfying meals, with two of us savoring the fish dinner and the others delighting in the hot roast beef. The exceptional service and truly delicious meals left us feeling energized and inspired. For those yet to visit, it's well worth considering for your next breakfast or dinner outing.
Good local diner, first time visitor -- we had owner granddaughter serving us, who had to leave to go to a Friday night football game. She was nice enough but had to ask for a couple things twice before she left the check to make the game. I would return, nice people, just not great service this time.
Six of us had breakfast and everything was fantastic 😊. The service, the food, and the price. We'll be back soon.
The atmosphere was clean. Server was super nice just a little slow on seating us. The food was okay. Don't get the shrimp it is just frozen popcorn shrimp. Not worth the $13.99 price. Also, DO NOT ORDER A SODA it was $2.25 for a 12oz can of pop! What a joke doesn't even say it is cans on the menu! Way over priced for the little amount of food. I would not recommend this place for anyone. Locals go there all the time.
i had a great experience going to this place service is wonderful the people are very positive and kind the food oh the food. i honestly have a bad taste about getting fries anywhere because they never come out how i like them but when i opened my meal the fries were perfectly fried crispy out side soft but not mushy inside they let you salt them yourself and it was perfectly fried crispy the burger is delicious i’m not sure where they get their meat but it was perfectly cooked and it’s a half lb and build it your way and comes on something similar to tx toast if you are a driver coming up and down 20 you can call ahead and there is a shoulder wide enough in town to pull of and your food will be ready when you arrive and can grab and go. i will be back thank you so much
They served a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. Large plate and friendly service. A perfect choice for us this year. Looks like they are open most days serving homemade breakfast, lunch and early dinner.
This place is AWESOME! A family-owned restaurant that serves fantastic food. I was working in the area and saw this place listed. Saw the reviews. Saw the menu. Enough "seen" --- I HAD to try. I would have taken a picture of the meal beforehand --- but I was hungry and it was fresh and hot! You'll have to suffer through my "clean plate club" picture. Pancakes, eggs and bacon made to order! PERFECT!! Their coffee was delicious and rich! Who needs "Corporate Coffee" when Granny's Kitchen is around. I visited about 7:30ish AM or so and saw the local gentlemen having a group breakfast and knew it was going to be cool. I asked if there really was a "granny" back in the kitchen-- and sure enough there was! Making all her dishes with love! I asked that she be told her breakfast was fantastic and I heard the message relayed: "A new guy says breakfast is fantastic." Checking out, I asked: how did you know I was "a new guy"? I was told: "because you came in and waited to be seated --- the regulars always come in and sit right down." We chatted for a bit and was told granny was putting on a roast for lunch. I about passed out. I could only imagine how delicious THAT would be!!! If I were to remain in town I would have taken lunch AND dinner there! If I am ever in that area again --- I will DEFINITELY stop by for at least one meal. Incredible food! Excellent service! Salt-of-the-Earth people!
Granny's kitchen is a place that all the locals go to hang out - the food is all homecooked and priced appropriately. Everyone was so nice to us while we were there. The staff was very patient while the kids ordered their food. All of the food was phenominal. If you like pepper, and hate that some pepper shaker holes are just too small to get pepper on your food, this is your place. You can get a LOT of pepper out of these shakers! Eggs cooked to order and cooked right, crispy hashbrowns, nice biscuits and gravy and really good coffee!...the whole experience was really good. The building is a little older - it would be a mistake to be put off by that!
