This was our first time dining at this restaurant, and we were not aware it was a “seat yourself” establishment upon arrival. While the food itself is very good, the overall customer service left much to be desired. Our waitress came across as cold, rushed, and unfocused throughout the experience. We ordered both an appetizer and entrées, but the appetizer was never brought out. It seemed the staff were moving quickly under close supervision, which may have contributed to the oversight. Although the dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, the portion sizes did not feel proportionate to the price. Overall, the quality of the food is there, but the service and value for the price could use improvement.
Everything about this place is awesome. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Always a pleasant experience. I ordered the Alana bowl. This is wonderfully crafted to order. The freshness of each individual ingredient compliments each other masterfully. The dolmas are also very delicious and fresh. It was Avery delicious experience. If you're ever around the this area I highly recommend this place.
Best dining experience so far in McAllen, Tx. Mediterranean food, delightfully prepared and presented. A welcome break from the too many other restaurants in town.
