I was walking around Petersburg, looking for some kind of a sweet treat. I found a great little hidden treasure! Did not know there was a restaurant in the bus station, but it was very interesting. The brownie and the blueberry lemon cookie were both awesome, and the staff are friendly, helpful and just a lot of fun to talk to. Antiques all around the place, and some very comfy furniture. Indoor an outdoor seating. And they actually have a lounge in the evenings.
Ok, I’m back again with another stunner. Found this place on google and have been 2 times now. A very unique atmosphere. It’s the old Petersburg bus station with some nostalgic decor so it feels like walking into the past. The food was very good and I like that that have a small menu with good variety and unique/different flavors. Overall this is a GEM.
The vibes were even better, and the whole atmosphere just felt relaxing from the moment we walked in. The vintage theme was done so well and made the place feel cozy, classy, and unique without trying too hard. Me and my friend ended up coming here twice in one week just to study because the quietness and peaceful environment were amazing. It’s hard to find places nowadays that have good food and still feel calm enough to actually focus and enjoy your time. Whether you’re trying to catch up with friends, study, or just unwind, this place definitely delivers. The energy, aesthetic, and overall experience were spot on. Definitely a place I’d keep coming back to.
Great brunch/lunch spot. A hidden gem. The drink options are really amazing. My partner and I shared a flight of different teas and coffees, along with a delicious Philly cheese on a hoagie. The owners and staff have great energy, they seem to really love it there too. Very lovely cultural spin on the selections.
We’re new to the area and already found what might be our forever spot. If you’re local, you have to stop here for a coffee, especially the husk coffee, or try one of their tea and coffee flights. Even if you’re just passing through, it’s a must. I had the steak, egg, and cheese bagel, and my husband had the steak, egg, and cheese croissant with hash browns, everything was so good. We loved it so much we ended up taking some pastries home too. 10/10 🤩
Driving home to New England we stopped overnight in Petersburg after a tornado warning, and stumbled upon the Griffin Lounge. What a stroke of luck. Food and service were terrific, but what really delighted us was the place itself. It’s in an old bus station. They’ve preserved some of the original history but transformed it with a unique, stylish decor. As soon as we heard the music, I knew we were in the right place. Coldplay, The Band, Bob Dylan, Etta James. It seems they also operate a speakeasy at night. I only wish we had something like this in my town.
Friendly energetic staff make the experience exceptional. Along with some of the best croissants, so flaky and buttery the perfect pair with cheese and eggs. The steak egg and cheese bagel had the perfect toothsome crunch and the shaved steak seasoned to perfection, make for one of the best bagels I’ve had in a long time. The Dubai chocolate croissant omg you have to try it!
The Griffin Lounge has been an absolute memorable and beautiful experience. The staff here is well knowledgeable, the owner made the experience. Gave us a tour of the cigar lounge and a little background on the history of the building. This is such a wonderful place to spend your morning at. The Baklava and Kunafa tasted delightful, as well as all the Coffee Husk (my favorite), Yemen, and Turkish coffee. Would recommend this place 1000 times over.
