Hands down the BEST breakfast burrito in SoFlo! Came by this morning & saw it was closed but USB (same owners) was opened and they so kindly made Burritos for us. Im pregnant and had been thinking about this burrito for days so to say I was happy is an understatement. So thankful for the kindess and customer service. Amazing food & amazing people! Highly recommend! 😊
I have a thing about breakfast burritos, and I’ve tried many, many of them in miami and around the world. Guerito’s burritos have easily made it to the top of my list and that is why I frequently visit this place often. Their burritos are the best, and I highly recommend them always!! Delicious, creative, consistent. Look no further for your burrito fix.
I went to Guerito's, excited to try "Tex-Mex" in Miami, as a Texan myself. However, this really disappointed. I ordered the chicken quesadilla and a thing of chips and salsa. The chicken quesadilla was dry and under-seasoned. The tortilla seemed old. It was just cheese with chicken. There was no pico, tomatoes, onions, or cilantro. It came with an extremely tiny thing of salsa, which was very thick and so-so. I asked for a side of sour cream and was told it was an additional charge. If the food were good, I would not have needed the sour cream. I cannot believe I tipped the worker, and he would not even help me out with the terrible food! The queso was essentially the nacho cheese sauce you get from sporting events/concerts. It was salty, artificial, and unseasoned. It was a tiny cup. The chips appeared to come from a bag. The employee told me that sour cream is a charge because they make everything "in-house." I'm not sure how nacho cheese sauce or store-bought "tortilla" chips are made in-house. Charging for a side of sour cream is like charging for ketchup or mustard on a burger. And if their quality were good, I wouldn't need to ask. This place is an insult to Tex-Mex. I can make better food at home, and I implore you to try the other Citadel restaurants.
The breakfast burrito is very good - california style in my opinion, best ive had outside of cali! Its simple (get the one with hashbrowns and bacon) and the best part is definitely the tortilla. The hot sauce it comes with is great too, ask for the red sauce. Although ive never seen the attendants here smile, I come about once a week and have never gotten anything besides the breakfast burrito. Its just so good!
I absolutely love the breakfast burrito. I’ve returned to this spot several times now just for the burrito alone, the flavors, the consistency of how well it’s made, top tier. For the people complaining on the wait time, I don’t mind giving them the time they need to make food with care. Don’t compare this to a fast food Taco Bell burrito that’s ready before you even order it.
The burrito was alright, quite greasy. Tortilla was really good and grilled nicely. I got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and no bacon however bacon was still present in it. It took 30 minutes to get my burrito and there was no line. It was quite a long wait to cook something so simple. The burritos are also priced quite high.
I had a great time with my family. We ate at one of the best Texican Food stands in Miami. Thank you very much for the experience.
I had an awful experience at this restaurant, which is owned by the United States Burger Service in the booth next door. After waiting an excruciating hour and a half for our food, I approached the girl behind the counter to ask, politely, what was causing the delay. Instead of addressing the issue, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. When I asked for a refund, she outright refused and then, unbelievably, asked me to be lenient because they were 'having a rough day.' It was clear she wasn't interested in doing her job or ensuring a good customer experience. The manager, who was present, did nothing to address the situation, allowing this unprofessional behavior to continue unchecked. They finally offered us the now cold food, which had been sitting out for over an hour. Needless to say, I won’t be returning and strongly advise others to steer clear. Thank God Amex refunds against corrupt businesses.
