This used to be our Go To Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood. We went by Friday after voting and unfortunately we won't be back. Although the food was ok, at best, the service was terrible. We had to go ask for a refill of tea, the food took forever to arrive and the tables and floor had not been kept up. The husband and wife team can not fill the shoes of the woman and her son who used to work there.
We to Kirby about 2 years ago so decided to look for a new Mexican restaurant that we could visit regularly. We stumbled across Guerrero's and it quickly became our go to! We played our orders ahead because the food it fresh so yes it does take a little bit but I rather have fresh food then food thats been sitting! The lengua tacos they are serving now are also very good! If your looking for a place to eat be sure to stop in and give them a try
The lunch specials are great. We love the cheese and beef enchiladas. I especially love the crispy beef tacos and carnitas mini tacos. Very good limonada and sweet tea. We always order extra handmade tortillas to go.
