I ordered a Western Omelette with a side of grits. The omelette was a serious disaster, however, the grits were @ least edible. They were slightly underdone. That omelette tho…that omelette never should have made it out of their kitchen. It had a white area, as if the eggs weren’t properly beaten before making the omelette…or @ least I hope that’s what caused it to be white. When I cut it to take my 1st bite, I noticed the inside ingredients were burnt to a crisp. For the life of me, I don’t understand why they thought this was ok to serve. It’s like they have no pride in their meals. I will never in life order from there again…it was that terrible!
My friend didn't tell them. Like most people he just left. Lady owner needs to know. He said, "Breakfast at Gus's. Worst breakfast. I kept thinking "How can it be so bad?" They should stick to hotdogs. At least, the coffee was good."
A true staple of Mountain Brook. My uncle took me here 30 years ago and I'm so glad it's still here! The original hot dogs are my favorite!
