See All ReviewsOur family went for dinner twice this month and no more "Habibi" for me. I ordered mixed Kabob platter both times and the waiter said they have only beef kabob available. Finally we ordered chicken shawarma platter. The cooked meat was just bland and the pita bread was dry like a piece of leather. I was very frustrated with the whole experience and decided to tell the waiter how I felt about the food. They were very apologetic and said, it's very frustrating even for them to tell customers that they don't have certain items in the menu when they want to order from the menu. I was told that the owner mostly travels and hardly ever comes to the restaurant and is run as an absentee owner business. There were only 3 couples came to dine while we were at the restaurant for an hour during the peak dinner time of the day. Looks like the ' Habibi Restaurant" is on it's final breath.
We went to this restaurant an hour and fifteen minutes before 10 pm closing on a Monday night...what a mistake! Shawrma was dry, mdjadra had a nasty taste beyond description and was served cold, kibbee balls were heated in the deep fryer until burned...the hummas was okay, pita bread dry....we threw away our food and left vowing NEVER to go back or recommend this place again! We wasted our time and our money seeking out the new "Lebanese restaurant" in Lakeland.
