a month agoWe had an impromptu family dinner last night at Hakka. A mixed group, some local and some visiting from abroad. We were warmly greeted by our server Malini and her excellent service throughout the night added to our enjoyment. We relied on her many recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. One of our cousins has an allergy to msg and ordered some dishes without msg, we tried some of her dishes and they were equally as good as the rest of our choices. Some especially good recommendations were the Crispy Chili Mushrooms, Sweetcorn soup with Chicken, Thai Chili Basil Beef, Szechuan Chili Shrimp, Thai Coconut Rice, Chili Garlic Noodles, Mixed Vegetables with Baby Corn in White Sauce and Flan for dessert. Great evening shared with special family! Thanks again to Malini for adding to our our great experience! Well done! 👏👏

3 months agoWent there tonight. Did not book. Sat outside. Restaurant looked nice and well decorated.Melini our server was very welcoming and helpful since we arrived. She recommended fried wanton as starters. We ordered chicken and shrimp wanton for sharing. Ordered bottle beers, pina colada and mocktails. Did not take long for food to arrive. The atmosphere was relaxed. For main we ordered lamb green curry, coconut rice and Singapore noodles. The food was hot and very tasty. Quite pricey but well worth a visit. Melini our server was very professional, courteous and helpful. Will certainly revisit.

5 months agoOne of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Trinidad. The ambiance is great, always love sitting outside. The staff is very friendly especially our server Celine. I remembered because her name made me think of the luxury brand. For appetizers we always order the chicken momos and decided to try the chicken pakoras and to be honest it was the best decision. I loved the chicken pakoras because it was packed with flavours and crisp on the outside. For our main we ordered the pineapple fried rice which was recommended to us by our server and it was amazing! We also ordered the Manchurian chicken which was great but a tad bit salty. Together with that we ordered mix veg that was perfect because it was crunchy and not over cooked for the veggies to be mushy. I loved how there were also tofu pieces in there as well. Definitely a place worth trying.

6 months agoI wanted to share my recent dining experience at your restaurant, as I have always enjoyed visiting in the past. Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted and seated, which was a pleasant start. However, the initial seating area was a bit uncomfortable, so after some time, we decided to move to another table. Unfortunately, the service we received after changing tables was not up to the standard I had come to expect. Our server seemed quite nonchalant and while they managed to take our order without writing it down, the pace of the service was noticeably slow. We ordered three appetizers and eight dishes, while the food was eventually served, it arrived in a relatively delayed manner. Most notably, the rice dish came out significantly later than the rest of the meal. I had to inquire about its whereabouts and only then did it appear a couple of minutes later. This time would be after most of the main was eaten. Although I considered sending it back, we had a vegetarian in our party who wanted the dish, so we kept it. When it came time to pay, I found it quite disheartening to pay the service charge, given the slow and disorganized service we experienced throughout our meal. I hope you find this feedback constructive and helpful in improving your service for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Cocktails was excellent.

7 months agoFood is decent and service is excellent but the quality of drinks is medicore. Been here several times simply because of the ambience. Nothing beats sitting outside here and chatting on a windy evening. My drinks have often looked rushed and tasted badly prepared. Even gave up ordering g&t because it only tasted like tonic twice. The thai curry fish dishes are excellent.

10 months agoThe place was great and we did go on a weekday and so thankfully there was no crowd here. The food and the service was up to a high standard and the manager Tyrone was an amiable and funny welcoming guy, very personable. 😁 I love the inviting decor on the low lying terrace but was totally blown away by the interior of the main dining area. Simply beautiful opulent interior design and artwork, transcendent 🥰👏🙏🏼

Edited a year agoLast night was my very first time here. It was my daughter's first & let me just say everything here was so perfect. The drinks were amazing, the food was greattttt, the appetizers(the Thai sticky wings & the lollipop chicken). I like the fact that the waitress kept coming & asking if we needed anything, etc. The manager is on another level. He's fun, he even played guitar & sang happy birthday for my daughter 💕 not every manager is like this. He looks super cool & jolly 😊 The service was on point. I'll definitely be here again soon♥️

Edited 2 years agoThe patio allows for a cool chill evening with the radiating red lights. The food was spicy but not flavoursome. All dishes were brought out in a timely manner and the servers were polite and engaging
