I am new to the area and looking for a good restaurant to eat, well food is awesome can’t complain! But the bill at the end had me not ever wanting to come back! I got a churrasco and my husband the fried fish. But when the bill came I called the girl and asked why sides are being charged separately, since we order and she said it came with 2 sides! So let’s see they charged $32.99 for the fish plus for the sides $9.50 and for the churrasco (1 piece of skirt steak) $36.99 plus $8 for the sides. At the end of the day that is ridiculous never had I gone to a restaurant and had to pay extra for sides !! Price on everyone’s menu is the plate of food with sides. Another is there drinks are expensive. So at the end who lost was the waitress one she said we had 2 sides and then she charged me for them! Sorry your tip was for your management way of running business! Too bad you lost a client on everything even future catering. As per gratuity, that’s my choice and the Reason your employee wasn’t tipped was for false communication with us in false advertisement Because she clearly said it came with two sides. And when I called her attention, she pointed to the menu and I thought it was $1.99 even though you will have customers that and you will lose business for. That. Be careful you’re not in the area of rich people if you want to do fine dining, take your restaurant up to Bonita Springs, Estero or Naples there you can have your fine dining experience But even then don’t overcharge customers extra money for the sides that are included with the plates no restaurant does that! They only charge for extra ordered sides. I’m not the first one that noticed that you have a few that’s really bad for your business and it’s really sad because your food is good. When you change your ways of operating, let me know and I’ll return !
I called to place an order over the phone today, when I placed the order I specifically asked what sides were INCLUDED with the meal. The gentleman over the phone stated 2 sides, so I ordered 2 sides. When I went to pick up my meal, I noticed the the price seemed more than usual. I asked for the take out menu to bring back to the office and noticed the price on the menu was not consistent to what I was charged and questioned it. The gentleman stated there was a price increase but it was not reflected in the take out menu. My issue was not the price increase my issue is that I was charged 1.99 for each side dish that I was told was INCLUDED. The gentleman stated the new menu, which he proceeded to show me, reflected the higher prices but the new menu DOES NOT state that you will be charged for side dishes. He than proceeded to show me at the bottom of the menu, in tiny little print, where it say that each ADDITIONAL side is 1.99. Again, I explain to him that what I ordered was NOT additional sides but the sides that he told me were INCLUDED. He just excused himself with, that is what the manager says. I have never eaten in any Cuban restaurant where sides were NOT included. But that is not even the problem, the problem is the deceptive way you guys are saying 2 sides are included and then proceed to charge extra for them. Why would you not just increase the base price of the meal to include both sides? Why put it in fine print? Also, if you are not aware- to state in the bottom of the menu that each ADDITIONAL side is 1.99 implies that you are ordering EXTRA beyond what is included! Stop telling customers that sides are included and be upfront and tell them we charge for sides, your meal is just the meat you are ordering!!!
Wow this place and food is amazing!!! Reviewing it with greasy fingers from ordering takeout. Bring your family I highly recommend this for authentic Cuban/Caribbean food. Get the churrasco or pollo empanizado 10/10!!
