Fast-casual Mediterranean done right. The food was unreal, the service was great, and everything came out quick. Pro tip: come with friends so you can order multiple dishes; you’ll want to try everything. Fan favorite: the Crunchwrap Supreme 🌯 Stuffed with lamb shawarma, potatoes, toum, crunchy pita chips, and more. This was full-on flavor. Every element worked perfectly together, from the pickles to the meat. Truly addictive. Other mains: • Peri Peri Chicken Sandwich – juicy, spicy, insanely flavorful, and easily one of the best chicken sandwiches in the city. • Lamb Shawarma Wrap – all the essentials of a perfect wrap. The toum absolutely steals the show, the lamb is perfectly seasoned, and the wrap comes out crispy for the perfect crunch. Last but not least: the Kunafa Pancake 🥞 Not technically dessert… but it should be. The pancake is fluffy and delicious on its own, and the kunafa elements take it through the roof. Best served plain in my opinion, but you can also get it with sweet berries or even spicy fried chicken. Don’t miss: the Crunchwrap and the Kunafa Pancake. 5/5 — no notes. 💫
I've had their food at smorgasburg before (shawarma pizza and regular shawarma) and made a point to visit their store when I got a chance. We drove from Long Island, and we are so glad we made the trip because the food is great and very innovative. We ordered a bunch of stuff: chicken shawarma platter, Crunchwrap supreme, piri piri chicken sandwich, and the weekend special which was a smoked brisket and cheese sandwich with eggs. My fave of all was the chicken sandwich; it was the perfect spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and the piri piri sauce had the perfect touch of heat. The toum inside added a sharp savoriness that complemented the sandwich well. The Crunchwrap supreme was also good, but it did fall apart a little because it was so full (which is not a bad thing at all!). My least favorite was the brisket sandwich. The bread was too toasted to my liking, it was almost hard. It was also overflowing with cheese, so a lot of what I tasted was just cheese. Additionally, there was a sunny side up egg on top of the sandwich which I found weird. I thought it would be eggs inside the sandwich, but having it on top made it a little difficult to eat. It was also only one egg on one half of the sandwich. The man in the front was super welcoming; he was the only one in the front but manned the place well. He was really knowledgeable and made recommendations based on what we were thinking about. The restaurant itself is a little small (5-6 tables) but the vibes are immaculate! Good music, they also have items on the side for purchase like Olive oil and spices.
Been here a handful of times and loved everything I've had, including specials. Most recently, their take on a chicken parm that was amazing. Hoping they make it a regular item, maybe even bring back the chicken Caesar wrap. Their play on classics are 🔥 (as is the traditional stuff)
