A hidden gem. Ordered take-out today - parking was limited, but the food is definitely worth it. The Loc Lac might just be the best I've had in this city.
Love it here!! No wait to be seated when we went. Our server was sweet and fast. We started with smoothies that were sooo good! 😋and we both ended up getting the beef lok lak w fried egg. This is one of my fav spots for this dish everything tastes so fresh and is seasoned really well!👌🏽🤤😋 Deff try them out.
Very nice Cambodian food. Generous portions and cooked to order. Lovely durian shake.
I had the Kathiew Phnom Penh dry (គុយទាវភ្នំពេញគោក). It came out in less than 5 minutes. It was pretty quiet though. There was only one other table. The side soup was hot and savory. It was $12 for a medium bowl and $15 for a large bowl. It was tasty. You don't really need to add any condiments.
The menu said: "Spicy Chicken Wings /drumpstick" ($13). I read this as you can either order wings or drumsticks. Turn out you get exactly what's written on the menu. Chicken wings and a drumstick! Look at that almost caramelized outside, and they were perfectly cooked. I wouldn't call them SPICY, but they were pleasantly spicy. The wings were fine, but the drumstick was reheated and dried out.
Great little find! The food here is delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. We enjoyed the fried chow foon with beef, and the Beef noodle soup. The fried squid and durian shake were outstanding. We will be back!
I ordered the spicy beef noodle soup, the broth was delicious and beef so tender. The fried squid appetizer was crispy and fresh that comes with a nice pepper lemon sauce. It was our first time and would come again for sure and bring friends. My husband got the pickled veggie beef rice dish and he enjoyed it. Try the shakes to go too, we got the red bean and no regrets 👍🏼
I had some trouble ordering over the phone, both due to the language barrier and the loud tv they had playing in the background. And when I entered restaurant, none of the staff was wearing a mask. The hostess did put one on after I entered. But the food was absolutely outstanding. I loved the red curry soup and the chicken wings the best. The beef with rice, short noodles, and egg rolls were great as well. Huge portions, and the soup was just the right level of spicy for me. Nothing too severely spicy, as some Cambodian places in the area tend to do.
