Love this place. Ran by some great people that make some great food. Recently they started making gluten free pizza. I can confidently say it'll more than likely be some of the best gluten free dough you've ever had. Genuinely cannot tell a different.
This pizza is amazing. Their dough is so good and fresh. We are going to start getting this weekly. I could not recommend more, and I really admire the community feel that they create. Thank you Paul and Sue! ❤️
First thing to mention is this place is cash only; however, their prices are fantastic, so you don't need a bunch of cash to eat well. With that out of the way, let's talk about this place. We dined in as we were on bikes coming from the trail, and they do have three small tables for you to sit at and some of the most comfortable folding chairs I have ever sat in. These were not your cheap metal chairs; these were extremely comfortable and really well made. I wish I would have asked the owner where he got them from. In terms of drink selection, there isn't one, but the owner does have a cooler in the back with bottled water and provided us with that at no additional cost, which was really solid of him given how hot and sweaty we were from biking 60 miles. The place doesn't seem to have AC, as the door was open with a giant fan pulling in air. To be honest, it wasn't a big deal. It was 85 degrees outside when we were there, but inside was comfortable enough temperature-wise. Now, the food. Look, this is your old-school pizza joint and has the tastes you remember as a child. The owner is the one greeting you, and this guy has been doing this for 30+ years. The fact that he has been in business this long shows you how good the food is, and he is just a great overall person, which adds to the old-school charm. The calzone I got was excellent. He loaded the inside up, and the taste was incredible. We also got two pizzas, and both were really well prepared and had a great taste. If the calzone hadn't filled me up, I bet a sub from this place would be awesome as well. Final comment: the pricing. It's beyond fair and is considerably lower than pizza places near my house in Oakmont. Not only is it cheaper, but the food is also better, so you get the rare combination of a great restaurant that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by. You won't regret it.
Pizza and hoagies were good. Order was ready on time. People were friendly. Our family likes to order here.
Not sure why I seen any low stars on Google but this place was so homey and the food was fantastic. The owners were a lovely couple and they were generous and down to earth. They were closing the store and it was late but they offered to warm the oven back up and make us Pizza from scratch. That was so kind of them. We ordered one of the most delicious pizza’s and Calzones I’ve ever tasted. Home style pizza is a Perfect Name for this place. Felt very welcomed and they went way beyond custome service to make me and my family happy. Thank you guys.
This was our first time trying this pizza shop. So good! Definitely worth the half hour drive. We will be going back for sure. And the plus is that the owners are super nice and friendly.
9.1/10 Dough was fresh and fluffy, bottom was golden brown and crisp. Sauce was zesty and flavorful but not overbearing. Cheese was "to die for" and had the best cheese pull that I've seen outside of Chicago! Peperoni was crisp and complemented everything. BONUS REVIEW: Pepperoni Rolls These are super addicting, with just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni.. the pizza was outstanding, however, these I'll be dreaming about for weeks to come. 9.7/10
Family owned business with great prices. Their store smelled AMAZING and the pizza tasted great. Love the onion rings. Definitely coming back again!!!
