I have been ordering from Hop Bo in the Publix plaza on Curry Ford for years. It has always been very good. But lately, things seem to have changed, for the better. Maybe it’s just me, but they seem to have really stepped up their game! I’ve ordered from many Chinese restaurants around town, particularly those “NY” style places. I’ve had some great food along the way. I love good NY style Chinese and there are many good options. Hop Bo is certainly at the top of the list. The portion to price ratio is perfect. The food is flavorful and super fresh tasting. They’ve upgraded their packaging and to go materials. While I believe it’s still the same family, who is super nice, they have certainly made positive changes to keep up with competition. It’s a must try in the Curry Ford West area!
General Tso Chicken was crispy, and special Lo Mein was great.
The owner is so rude, she even answers the phone rude. Twice I’ve paid extra to get my food how I want it and twice my food wasn’t correct. She tried to charge extra both times to replace my food. Today she decided to give me yellow fried rice that was supposed to be pork fried rice. I go thier because of convenience but I won’t spend another dime with her and I’ll now take the extra drive to another Chinese restaurant. Don’t spend your hard earned money with this restaurant.
